An Illiterate Who Knows Nothing Poem by Dr.V.K. Kanniappan

An Illiterate Who Knows Nothing

As if a poor man in need of money
waiting for the right time at the mercy
of a rich man to improve his family,

an illiterate who knows nothing
and wants to learn some thing
to get power and knowledge
has to wait patiently and humbly
at the mercy of a learned scholar;

If not, he can't learn
and considered as lowest
among the men!
