An Ode To My Teacher Poem by Dr Nida Fathima

An Ode To My Teacher

God bestowed me with this beautiful gift,
A gift which set me adrift.

Presented me with this special teacher,
A great gifted preacher.

She breathed knowledge unto me,
Brought me out of the darkness freely.

Ms.Akbari, you really are,
A solid superb star!

How can I ever repay you,
For everything offered is still due.

Words and words are all I have left to say,
Which seem to me like an essay.

The time has come, the tides have swept,
It's time to bid adieu and promises kept.

Oh why has the time flown by,
With all those memories in the sky!

Tears roll into my eyes,
On the very thought of my bidding goodbyes.

But destiny awaits me,
With a heavy heart, I bid you farewell, Ms.Akbari!
