An Unborn Miracle Poem by McKenzie Spaulding

An Unborn Miracle

A developing fetus,
A fluttering heartbeat,
Working hard, straining to support life.
Each day growing stronger,
Bigger.

Anticipation mounting,
Can I be a single mother?
She thinks to herself.
I love her….but why make her pay for my mistake.

Do I take the easy way out and place her for adoption?
Confusion hiding behind each decision.
Can my daughter love me if she knows she was a mistake?
