Angel In The Darkness Poem by Victoria Hudson

Angel In The Darkness

Rating: 5.0

All alone, and cold.
There is no hope in a world made of stone.
There is nothing but a light ahead.
Bright and glorious, I think I'm dead.
I look around and see no one.
Has my demons finally won?
No one to turn to and no where to go.
What should I do in a world so cold?
Should I stay in the darkness or go towards the light?
And then the room became suddenly bright.
Feeling returned and so did my breath.
Doctors moving around in silent stealth.
No sound came to me.
I looked in the mirror and saw me.
I looked close to death.
White and pale.
Then I saw my angel.
He stood there, watching me with diligent eyes.
He wanted to make sure I was alright.
I went to ask his name.
He said, "Just call me a friend."
He then left the room.
The doctors told me how I met my near doom.
I had a wreck but that man saved me.
Was that the truth or just a story?
It was sore to move and even breathe.
But that person, that angel is my reason to live.
