Angel Of Light

With tyranny I ruled a vast empire
I woke up from my dream as a vampire
Possessive greed took hold of me
My soul is death! It is not free

Red eyes thirsty lips hungry teeth
Harm and destruction lurk beneath
Greed the devils core my creed
My soul in death plants its seed

Power and deception fill my cup
I drank and drank from a hollow cup
True Angel of light: Take me down!
Put an end to my deceptive crown

Is there one saint amongst the crowds?
Or just darkness beyond the clouds
Heavens surrendered freely its powers
New Babylon aims higher its caged towers

I yearn for that bullet made with silver
Or a wooden stake salvation to deliver
Kid yourself not riches are but a smirch
Judah’s church died from its own search!

Where are the knights in shining armors?
All is left are desperate snake charmers
Bazaars full of twenty-four seven grinds
To meet ends meet, the meeting of minds

Whose soul long ago surfaced from the deep?
History teaches us but we forget its weep
Would the circle be unbroken my friend?
Or is this humanities everlasting trend!

Love does not grow or strive inside a carcass
Souls bought and sold on the black markets
Innocence lost forever to thirty fangs
Shame! Its aim to follow the latest gangs!

With tyranny I ruled a vast empire
I woke up from my dream as a vampire
Possessive greed took hold of me
My soul is death! It is not free

Power and deception fill my cup
I drank and drank from a hollow cup
True Angel of light: Take me down!
Put an end to my deceptive crown

The old year went, and the new returned, in the withering weeks of drought,
The cheque was spent that the shearer earned,
and the sheds were all cut out;
