Angeline Mary Rexina (Our Beloved Sister's Death Anniversary) Poem by Dr John Celes

Angeline Mary Rexina (Our Beloved Sister's Death Anniversary)

She suffered silently for sake of Christ;
She slogged with smiles upon her face for all;
She kept her cheer and did her chores with love;
Rheumatic heart was boon to her and died.

Diseased, deceased she stayed exemplary;
True to her name, she was on earth, angel;
She joked and made all siblings laugh always;
She was much loved by all and Almighty.

And when she died a sudden death, all wept;
Anaphylaxis took her life away;
God called her quickly to embrace the soul;
Though young, she earned her heaven upon earth.

The home was shattered and its light was gone;
No tears or prayers filled the void again;
Perhaps, she joined the angels' choir above!
She sleeps in sweetness, soul resting in peace.

Though many want to live on earth for long,
A few can hear early, God's call and song.
