Your anger
Bursts like a thunderstorm,
And torrential rain,
And flashes like lightening.
And when its spent
And an uncanny calm descends.
I feel like an uprooted tree.
Sharp words
Can hurt,
Deeper than a wound
By a sword.
It takes time
Before a scab forms,
And you move on.
This is really a beautiful poem....thanks for share with us
bad words once out of the mouth cannot be taken back...they reverberate and cause pain... anger shuts the mind... your lines truely define this passion.
Mamta, your words are of wisdom beautiful and precise. When anger rears we say things that wound much more than a sword and it takes much longer to heal. Wonderfully worded poem. Top marks and thanks for sharing it. David
One minute of anger burns your 60 seconds of happiness. anger is the abode of devil. God lives in human soul. When someone is angry God leaves him for that time.
Truth expressed well through poetic lines! There are a few cases where medicines for HBP helps! Also, when love grows thin, anger easily wells-up within! - Raj Nandy
