Anino Ng Kahapon -Sa Tagsibol- (English 'The Shadow Of Yesterday -In Springtime-)
The shadow of yesterday
untill when
will you be embracing,
untill when
will you let yourself suffer?
Look!
even in that unfertilized soil
the little shoots peep
to show the bloom
to give you joy
to give you hope.
Go!
and to your sorrow
say goodbye
leave behind
the shadow of yesterday
and embrace into your heart
the new hope
that this spring is giving.
