Anniversary Poem by Ballerina With Fins

Today you put your arms around me,
rocking baby, rocking lies.
Today you point for me to see,
white clouds amidst blue blue skies.

Tomorrow you'll kiss me, singing songs,
wet marks spread across my face.
You'll tell me that I'm always wrong,
I'll tell you I'm a special case.

Years from now we'll be together,
we'll be stuck in that dreaded maze,
rain like promises, falling tears.
Evening skies; forgotten haze.
