Another Life Poem by Jessica Gabanyic

Another Life

Thousands of years have passed,
Or so it seemed,
The life that was so pristine,
Became a life that didn't exist anymore,

There within the corner,
Of a darkened room
Laying in a fetal position,
Is a girl who lost everything,

Her life was short,
As if it didn't exist,
Yet people remembered her
Regardless of the life she led,

While they knew her as the quiet one,
They never knew what went on,
And they never will,

Thousands of years have passed,
Or so it seemed,
What life she led,
Will never be the same

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
It's based off a book I read when I was 18-19, Only this poem is almost identical to my life's story. So in reality you are basically reading my life. However the Suicide part was mainly the book and not my life. Thanks for Reading my poetry! :)
