Another Year Gone By Poem by Deanna Samuels

Another Year Gone By

So soon, another year gone by and gone away
A year since my last big momentous birthday
Each minute, each day, each week, each month
Do we fully appreciate that time enough
When we reach a certain senior age
Do we take advantage at each and every stage
Every moment, every second that we are here
Should be blessed with good health and cheer
Interesting hobbies, meet with friends
Chatting over latest vogues and trends
Not thinking of what may or should be done tomorrow
For when dawn breaks could bring tears and sorrow
Appreciate all the joys that life has proffered
Family happiness, job success, opportunities offered
Make every moment of our lives count everyday
As we know the morrow may not come our way.
