Answer Me Poem by ANJANDEV ROY

Answer Me

The stranger was shivering from cold,
It was also very dark outside,
He stopped in front of a big house,
Filled with dazzling and sparkling light inside.
The man knocked at the door and said,
"Please open the door,
I am trembling all over with the darkest cold, "
Nobody answered;
"Who is there?
Answer me", he cried repeatedly,
But all his attempts were futile,
He fainted in that place.
Yonder a dog barked agonizingly as if to remind his senseless mind,
"The snobbish light never answers the vain and insignificant creature."
