A tear, a smile, a laugh, a fight,
They happen to us every night.
You say you love me,
You say it’s true,
Prove it to me,
Can we really be?

A whisper, a shout, a secret, a mess,
Maybe we would be a best if you left.
There’s something tearing us apart,
It’s not coming from the heart.

I don’t want to lose you,
I say I don’t care,
But really I mean it,
I want you there.

Fishing, hunting, seasons of joy,
Are the times we spend together,
When we are all there.
It’s always fair.

I run to my room,
And slam the door shut,
I sit there and cry,
And wonder why.

What is it that I do wrong,
How do I make you mad,
You walk through the door,
And then I’m sad.

This can’t continue on,
Something has to be done,
Our family is falling apart,
You’re breaking my heart.

I don’t want you to go,
I want to play in the snow,
Watch the game on the TV,
And go fishing in the sea.

A tear, a smile, a laugh, a fight,
We seem to make up every night.

Frustrations of everyday life can cause doubts that are not really there.... time to center on what you really care about and let the doubts fade to insignificance... to make up every night means that you still hold each other dear... Alison
