I ask myself how you did it?
And so quickly too
Broke down all the walls that I had so easily construed
I tried to fight it!
You know that I did!
But once I fell I was lost in pure bliss.

I swore I'd never let down my guard
Trust my heart to another
But here we go once again...

Friendship that's what you asked for,
So I gave it to you freely
Whatever you want baby
You know that I got you

Though seperated by time and space
My heart grows fonder
And I long for your embrace

The nights go by slowly
And the days just crawl
The sound of your voice
And the memory of your touch
They keep me holding on

I don't know what it is
But there's something special between us
