Anxiety Rising With The Passing Of Days And Nights *

Standing next to the pond my reflection questioning my puzzlement
Thinking of my daily strives
Tadpoles displaying their prowess nonchalantly to my presence
Mind locked in routine, to and fro
Same route trudged from dawn to sunset
Same people telling same stories,
Course and fine jokes
Poking fun and provoking with cold smiles and coarse whispers
Same job dreary and drudgery as usual
As managers kick reactionary bore ascertaining the straight line
Home time, work time, precious time equally lost as the count of day
Anxiety rising with the passing of days and nights
More questions, no answers from external sources
Silent time felt more of the cold
Reasoning came by the campfire, resulting in the melting of the brain
Grain of seed falling on the ground at my feet
There for the picking to escape boredom
