Anywhere City Poem by Daniel Bernard Kelleher

Anywhere City

My city my home by the lee
Its a sight for all to be seen
Has been my home for 70 years
A home I once held so dear

Now we have drugs
Gangs of young thugs
Young lives snuffed out
Because of these louts

Dreams gone up in smoke
To some its all a big joke
At night out everywhere
Selling their wares

Political will lacking
To stop this trafficking
Some will have to cry stop
Destroying my city with pot
