Appearance And Reality Poem by RAJ NANDY

Appearance And Reality

APPEARANCE AND REALITY

Two rail tracks run parallel and appear to merge
at the curve,
Light keeps chasing darkness, and at twilight
seem to converge!
The river brims its banks, but the banks never
meet,
While shadows keep chasing substance, and
remains at its feet!
Two hearts may beat under one roof, and yet
beat to different tunes;
The more you try to grasp life, it begins to
elude you soon!
We pass through this finite life and yet think
of the infinite,
Faith and hope keeps us going, for one day we
must unite!
We hope and pray all the while that if not in
this life,
Finally we shall converge in Him in our after
life!

appearances are deceptive-nicely brought out in this poem. the poem has such a smooth flow and beautifully ends on a philosophical note. Mamta
