Appearance Assumption Reality Conflicts Poem by Terence George Craddock

Appearance Assumption Reality Conflicts

Rating: 5.0

appearances assumptions
can be dead end blind alleys
even the same novel can

be published with different covers
masters of disguise manifest
multiple mask characters

just because a man owns
a boat it does not make
him a fisherman

just because a person owns
a violin does not make
the player a violinist

just because people can
cook up food does not make
them a master chef

but observe a beautiful sincere love freely given
from an abundant overflowing genuine kind heart
does make a gift choice compassionate person
