Armed Love Poem by Afrooz Jafarinoor

Armed Love

Rating: 2.5

My eyes have imposed an embargo on sleep
They pay no heed to the warnings of the brain
They have focused all their powers on your eye track.
Unless the heart uses the right to veto,
War is imminent.
Then I will enter the battle
With all my woman's accomplishments:
Agonising silence
Heartbreaking tears
Hell raising words

Leave the negotiation table alone
Look at me alone

I'm glad it could make you smile, though with such a lover it would be hard to smile. 😊🙂 Thanks for reading, anyway.
