As The Blood Drips From The Blade Poem by Lance Mead

As The Blood Drips From The Blade

As the blood drips from the blade,
The scenario is set in stone,
I did what I needed to do,
But now I'm all alone,

You tried to take her from me,
But that was not her choice,
She argued against it,
And you ignored her voice,

So I forgot the law
And a monster I became
She was so impressed
But never looked at me the same

Now I have nothing,
but I did what was right
I remember it clearly,
that terrible night,

When I close my eyes
The blood still drips from the blade
I don't regret it
The future I made

She was my girl
And protect her I must
From the day I found her
Until I'm layed to dust

But in doing what I did
I found i lost her heart
Locked away from love
Forever apart

So in the end the rapist won
My love is gone for good
The past can't be undone

But the blood still drips from the blade
My debt to society has been paid
Now to get back to life and find my fun
Knowing he will never again hurt anyone
