As We Are
under the moon
we share a drink
some stories
we mend the past
we look for meteors
bursting and falling
for the future
as we are
we toast
we long for nothing at all
as we were
we become what we are
there are no regrets
life and love have always
been fair
life as beautiful as ever
love as true and forever
what more do we ask?
on the poverty of
our spirits.
