As You Like It Poem by Abdul Malik Mandani

As You Like It

What do you fancy the most?
What is it that you desire?
What's your wildest whim?
What for do you madly aspire?

Is it Mona Lisa's smile
Or Romeo's undying love?
Casanova's winning charm
Or Rasputin's debauchery?

Maybe a sensual siren
Or a much chaste maiden,
Midas touch, Magic wand,
The savagery of Genghis Khan,
The adventurous spirit of Odysseus,
The prowess of Hercules;
Or a more mundane wish-
Peace on earth and
A serene world?

No matter what,
If your heart is set on
any outlandish scene,
Just close your eyes and
I M A G I N E!
