Atheist Friend Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Atheist Friend

Atheist friend

Beardless, babyface,
Has a long ponytail
And smile of angels.

Full of love and honest
Resembles the Heavens.

Angry with the faiths
In trance, by mistake
Classifies me, himself.

I am an agnostic
And he is an atheist!

I tell him of myself:
"I search for creator! "

Told him of my belief:
"Reject the scientists
Like Freud and Darwin! "

My friend, the atheist
Is hybrid and a mix,
A Malay and Chinese.

I speak of my God,
He listens, I tell him.

The God of Abraham,
To David, Mohammad,
Is nothing but master
With stick, and carrot…

He too, finds discovers,
As did the Archimedes,
Keeps laughing, is insane!

Says that hates organized
Ways, beliefs of mullahs,
Monks, priests, and rabbis,
In all shapes and shrines!
