Attempting To Breath Under Water Poem by Poetic Crisis

Attempting To Breath Under Water

Your neglecting the ignorance of self,
All the sinking ships, That put a hault on progress,
A subtle hint of urgency,
Take the priests hand,
How safe can you possibly be?
Under the lights where plagues sleep,
Reveal the flesh and set the serpent free,

The way your holding me down,
The dripping evidence of my conscience,
So stare to find relief,
This pain is so revealing,
Reveal the consequence,

To speak under the tongue of desecration,
Take a look around you,
All the fibers of our being are taking change,
We become the wolves but we're wearing wool,
This all must be a disguise,
To better lure the sheep in,
We pray the archers will give us aim,
Is this the change you expected to make?
Your not at the bottom anymore,

Under the water where you were born,
Holding your breath until you surface,
Grasping onto the right words,
To describe this feeling of inadequicy,
Breath with me as we take our walk,
Your drawing us into this great fallacy,

Mark my words,
The suffocation of karma will take your breath away,
So light up the world,
To unseal the calm...
