Let me tell you a story
A story of me
I, first, wasn't born here
I was born in White Suburbon Motown
Then travelled to the Sunshine State
I travelled
I travelled to here, Great White North
Here, I discovered my hipness
It's where I was turned from a happy child
To mournful woman
Who won't return to my homeland
And stay here though, I feel I don't belong
An outsider looking for a home
With a sense of belonging
And as the solitude crawls with every year
Into my heart
I will stay for all it's worth
For it's all I know
I think you went too far to return to your bases. Nevertheless life keeps moving and will take you where you will forget all worries. Fabulous Poem LEE. I loved it.
Fabulous poem LeeAnn......I read it couple of times to get to your life...5******
Life often gets reshaped. The best answer acceptance. Good write, Lee Ann
My heart bleeds for you, LeeAnn. Everybody needs to feel that they belong.
This poem is haunting LeeAnn, you are not alone as much as you think you are. Well done and stay well
And stay here though, I feel I don't belong An outsider looking for a home
To belong or not to belong, Where really is our home.? Where people act as real human beings with consideration and respect towards others, that is our universal home. the country really does not matter, even if you were not there born.. Very sincere and explicit poem, LeeAnn, one of your best1
