Autumn Poem by Santanu Nandi Purkayastha

Autumn

Rating: 5.0

AUTUMN

A lofty leafless tree
Alive but seems timber upright
Not a trace of leaf anywhere.
Depicting the clear picture
Of autumn around.
Dry and isolated,
As far as eyes stressed.
Autumn is in its silence
But recapitulating gone days,
Just like us
Standing alone in crowds.
Those crowds in home
Filled during childhood days,
But now all strangers around.
Detach and attach is part of life
Most now detached,
Counted are only, to be with life.
But I foresee evergreen around.
New will be embraced.
Let's cherish the gone days.
Lofty trees will again have leaves,
Alive and greenery
And beneath its canopy we will rest.

LOFT TREES WILL AGAIN HAVE LEAVES. Lovely piece of poetry, well articulated and nicely penned with insight to depict THE UNCHANGING CHANGE OF CHANGE. FAITH KEEPS THOSE THAT KEEP THE FAITH - Mother Teresa. A nice poem indeed. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
