Autumn's Spell Poem by Asavri Dhillon

What verse should I write for you Autumn?
We haven't met yet, spring just stepped in.
Have you taken a rebirth this year?
Or are just continuing the fable you left last year?
Though winter did cover it with snow.
Are you coming this year to dig the dead from the graves?
Or help the branches get red leaves?
Do you promise to fix the wounds with the warmth of your colours?
Can you promise to fill the voids with the warmth of the flavours you carry?
Or are you going to betray every volume of the blood drop
To get wasted in the dirt
And then get washed off with tears
Again.?
