Endeavor to sever
the call of the wild
Lean into the crevice
not out to the void
Hold on to the metal
fix your grip in the slot
Stick your lips to the cliff
face if that's all you've got
Drop all non-essentials
within and without
Feet in the footholds
Hands on the rock
Avoid all the malcontents
alcoholics and dropouts
Shun red-necks and rubbernecks
and all no-neck monsters
Whatever you do
do whatever it takes
take whatever you have to
But, hold on to what matters
