Awaiting Love Poem by Michael Olakunle Adesanya

Awaiting Love

You were so young when we met
At age nine; you could tell love had arrived
Looking into your eyes, the paradise is all I saw
Here alone while the sun set

At age thirteen, you were the super star
While all guys gathered around you
Like bee to honey comb
I sit and think, what I have I done to win her heart?

Hopefully, you will be my children's mother
When we will be blessed with goodness of life
While we look up to the stars
Waiting for the angels to bless our future.
