Away From You Poem by Yvette Flores

Away From You

When we're apart, i really want to see you
I feel like a part of me is cold, because i cant see the warmth of your smile
The skies grow a little dimmer everyday, because your eyes dont shine as bright
I miss the feeling of our hands intertwined, the touch of your hand with mine, and me drawing little hearts with my thumb
The candy i eat isn't as sweet, because i haven't tasted your sweet lips in a while
Just hearing your voice and your laugh give my heart a reason to beat
Knowing your alive and ok fills me up with so much joy
I know each and every day, we come closer to seeing each other once again
Even though we're far apart, I know we're close at heart

Wonderful Poem! ! ! A sweet, tender and passionated one! ! You have got such strong feelings, what is normal for a poet. And all the poetic language: 'skies grows a little dimmer, the candy I eat isn't as sweet, ' and the way you finish 'Even though we're far apart, I know we're closer at heart..' that's great! ! ! I love lyric poems.I do.Mainly nowdays, when love is 'such an old fashion word'(Mercury) , and people don't care so much about love just all the material things. But as Paul Maccartney used to sing: ''Cause I don't care too much for money, money can't buy me love.'
