Baby Girl Poem by Melanie Weeks

Baby Girl

Tiny little hand cups my face.
Tiny, sweet, little smile,
Eyes look up at me.

Precious little baby girl,
I love you so.

Blue eyes so sweet.
Brown hair starting to curl.
Little hands, little feet,
You're just so sweet.

It's that moment,
When you're asleep in my arms,
And I need to go to the bathroom.

It's that moment,
When I lay you down to sleep,
(And I'm so exhausted
That I can barely think.)
That you decide to wake up.

It's the times,
Where I wanna punch the walls
In frustration (and sometimes do) ,
When I pick you up,
It's only love I feel.

Giving you raspberries
On your belly
Makes you laugh.
Snuggling your neck
Makes you smile

I'm so proud
Of every milestone.
I brag and share
All the time.

You, little angel,
Are one of the big reasons
That I keep going.

I love you darling.
