We met one year on a summer cruise
At the time I thought I'd nothing to lose
I thought that it'd be fun
But that was when it just begun

Now I'm sitting in Tennessee
Thinking all the places that I'd rather be
Connecticut Hawaii
Florida New Jersey
But most of all
California

Oh why did this have to end my friend
Why did you have to go
Now I'm screaming crying all the time
Because I miss you so
I think about you every night
What went wrong and what went right
Every song I hear reminds me of you
And those three words you said to me
I wish I said back to you.
