Backsliders Poem by Phil Daniels

Backsliders

Rating: 4.0

Oh God in anguish my heart cries
For those who did your Son deny
They knew Him the Son the Christ
But allowed another their soul to heist

They listened to a voice did sway
And drew them from the Truth the Way
Alone and lost they walk a path
Refuse the Cross ignore the bath

So without redemptions Cross
Life with God, it is their loss
No other way to reach the Father
Many paths to be trod, they'd rather

Come Hell or even high water
They don't do as they aughter
The Word into new life He leads
For only Christ has met all Gods needs
