Bad Lil Kitty Poem by Leah Michele

Bad Lil Kitty

Bad little kitty cat!
Why you such a brat?
You need to have patience, ya can’t have it all,
You must learn some self control.
Even if you don’t get your way, you mustn’t bite!
You might hurt someone, if you chomp with all your might.

If little kitten wants to play,
She must behave to get her way.
You shouldn’t be a naughty kitty,
Your restlessness is not so pretty.
Tis all I ask; don’t be like that,
Nobody wants a grumpy cat.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Not technically about an actual cat, more like a minx
I started to write this March '15, but couldn't figure out how I wanted to write it or what exactly... I just had the idea. So I wrote wrote 4 words in a note, so I wouldn't forget and could go back to it later. Kitten, impatience, bite and control. Around the same time in May I finally came up with this. It's kind of playful yet reprimanding the 'kitty'
