Your tears on my jacket
I wear as badges of lost love
The splinters from your broken heart
Are stuck under my skin
The curses you swore
Are an encore to our love
The heart i wear on my sleeve
Seems to be bumped and bruised
By everyone i meet
But your tears will dry to salt
And i'll brush them off
The splinters will turn to dust
And i'll shed this skin
The curses will turn to sighs
And be lost in the wind
And my heart will finally
Be in the right place
