Bare Bones Poem by D.J. Ray

Bare Bones

when i'm set up for failure
all of this will pull me through
it's been said i'm worthless
and i can take it if i have you
there are so few reasons
to attach me to this world
so don't laugh when i tell you
you are my golden girl
i'm laying bare bones on the table
and wish life would stay the same
all in all if this would be
i would die if i could see
your smile one more time
and knew you were smiling at me
