Robert Sheridan

Bareknuckle - Poem by Robert Sheridan

Being stalked
Attach yourself
Floating fists
Be stalkless;
Right hook
Upper cut –
Two hinged
Unruly brawl;
Crowd gathers
A spectacle
Glass jaw
Hard shell;
Reflexes spontaneous
Dotted line
In bred
Raw meat;
Two creatures
Perfectly shap’d
Quite barbaric
Popular conception.
