Bathe With Me Poem by Darryn John Murphy

Bathe With Me

Beads of rain all bottle brown
Fall upon this rustic town
And who am I beneath the sky
As I listen to its cries

What light beside the pale moonlight
Gives way to faith upon this night
Perhaps it is the light within
That leads to this world of sin

Chiselled be the body yet
I hold you dear with no regret
Warm yourself beside my heat
And I shall caress your gentle feet

Bathe with me beneath the light
And dance with me, beneath the stars so bright

Warm thy self and take my hand
I lead you to the promised land
For you are women, I am man
And here we are before this land
Walking together hand in hand
