Battle Of The Flesh Poem by john raymond

Battle Of The Flesh

I ask on to Christ honor my request
I beg I plead to eat with a woman
When you knock the door will open on to you
God says to me Trust In Me for what you want
God answers prayer in the name Susan
We eat enjoy and share God together
God gave me a row of answers in faith
Battling all my doubts from the old-man
My flesh fights and tars at my past
How can God give me anything this good
I ask her to court Susan says No!
My flesh & feelings pull at the idea it's over?
I tried my best now she will be gone?
You miscarried your answer to prayer?
You failed with what God gave you?
God says Susan Won't go It Is Not Over
It is easier to let your prayer go
Then to trust in Jesus Christ my Lord
Jesus said anything you ask it will be done!
God is a man of His Word not to be mocked
Jesus reminds me He keeps his promise
I fight my flesh Forgive me Lord I am weak
But I want to give Birth to God's Answer!
Trust in your flesh and you will be destroyed
Trust in God you will be loved and answered
God will answer your prayer like he did mine!
