Be At Peace Poem by Sani Ammani

Be At Peace

I can
Count my teeth with my tongue
Smell my age with my nose
And touch them with my bare hands

I can
Cry in different languages
Smile with many faces
And laugh in distinct patterns

But the loved ones I have lost
I can never count them
Nor feel the warmth of their bodies
Nor even the softness of their words

The only thing that I can
Is to tell them be at peace
And wish them rest in peace

You have done well to stir our senses with your pure write. I too wish PEACE to all those who have passed, and to all those they have left behind. Your kindness flows.like a gentle river...May it's ripples reach many. PEACE
