Beat The Drum (1) Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Beat The Drum (1)

Through Christ His Son we hear God’s call
His call to you and I
Where disobedience brings to fall
Through foolishness we die

It matters not who’ve failed before
How dormant was the bride
As guide, the church must be the door
That leads to Christ inside

The world is deaf, spiritually blind
To God, her heart’s stone dead
If we today don’t reach mankind
Their blood is on our head

Sound off God’s trumpet loud and clear
Lets beat Salvation’s drum
Reveal the world The Truth is here
To us God’s Light has come

How can we sit with Fire inside?
Secure in Jesus’ hand
When in His name we’d turn the tide
Just like in Egypt land

We must go forth set captives free
Bring in whom Jesus claimed
Our light must shine that others see
Not hide as though ashamed!

The beauty of the virgin bride
Remains the world skin deep
Until her children come inside
The reaper’s bound to reap

When though the church The Lord is seen
Through word and righteous deed
God’s Son together with His queen
Will propagate Life’s Seed…PTO…
