Became My Sister Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Became My Sister

Became my sister

Radio is on
Late at night; story as it used to be
And I, sat awake, all ear till I heard
And I, wanted to be an actor, voice
And I, practiced, different voices so…

But it never happened
Now I listen, far away from there
Different too, a world apart, world
“When she became my sister” I hear
And I, I wonder what it mean in real
And I, weigh what I heard, all of it, all
And I, I have difficulty swallowing that

A world apart, over the seas, too many
I hear what someday
They could not make sense but now
I witness divorces as I witnessed men
And I, heard them praying
And I, heard them fighting
And I, was lost in thinking

“From when she became my sister”
She says in a story; radio
But I can easily see that
Real life, like my friend
He has four children, two from his wife
Two from himself
And I think
So I’m lost
And I think

What’s going on?
What’s right; not?

And a story is going on
Love, hate and what not
It’s memoir, true or not
