Because, Don'T You Know, Just Because Poem by Ciaran Quirke

Because, Don'T You Know, Just Because

Ice and snow and wind and rain and frost,
Die flowers, wither trees, fade away,
Don't grow, just die, don't live.
You simply can't, because I won't let you.
This is my world, my air, my land,
This is my law, my choice, my stance.
Oh well! Wait for spring, I'll reconsider.
Why so? Why make, undo, remake, undo.
Because, don'y you know, just because.
