Bedraggled Kapok Flowers Poem by Denis Mair

Bedraggled Kapok Flowers

Rating: 5.0

In pictures found on Google

semal flowers are mostly red

in Jasbir's photos they have a sunny tinge

colors of passion and light

emerged from a stately old tree

to mark the festival of spring sunlight

they were at their height around Holi time

now they give up their place

now their sunset moments fall in a camera lens

Sometimes humanity made them as symbols of states and events and to give highlights to celebrations.

Flowers are always beautiful especially when they are in full bloom. Some want to enjoy them by seeing from trees, others, pluck them, taken early to enjoy privately at their homes by putting in their vases.

The poem as well as the images captured of Semal flowers speak of two contrasting phases of life--glory and sunset.Wonderfully penned, thanks for sharing.
