Beheaded Day Poem by SRIRANJI ARATISANKAR

Beheaded Day

How passed the day,
That story-blood scattered on the west horizon;
Murder-weapon gone in hiding a pond
Covered with water-hyacinth...

Beheaded day;
Body lying on the evening-tableland;

Writing a ballad of cremation
Rather preferable
Than composition of a poem of little value..
