Behind A Mask Poem by Ryan Waldron

Behind A Mask

Rating: 5.0

Behind these eyes so true
He sits and hides from you
Always having things to say
His emotions are chained away

His words fall on deaf ears
Caged away for all these years
A voice screaming from within
Reaches the lips and is silent again

With everything bottled up inside
Suddenly he smiles wide
Onto this paper his words flow
Desperately wanting someone to know

That behind this mask is a man
Simply wanting to love again
Hear his plea and set him free
So I can be who's inside of me
