Behind the words Poem by Gerhard Falkner

Behind the words

I must have eaten from the spheres
they must have been bitter -
or evil
they had holes that sounded like sighs
they rolled darkly
through marrow and bone
I dismounted from my days
as everything started to spin
my head was ablaze
the holes gaped like blind forgetting
in vain I´ve been listening in
