Bent But Not Broken Poem by Chris Mackie

Bent But Not Broken

Rating: 5.0

Bowed with the weight of anguish
head down...
Darkness consumes him...
as he battles up a hill against the odds
His tears falling...
disappearing into the rain
But in the midst of torment...
A glimmer of hope...
Although stooped over in pain...
He acknowledges that he is still moving forward
Through his pain
through darkness...
He will not crumble...
He will not be broken
Though there is some distance to go...
Slowly inch by inch...
His journey will eventually take him...
through and beyond his sorrow.
