Beside Your Grave Poem by some one

Beside Your Grave

I was wandering drunk and wasted
Remembering you one more sip i tasted

Hoping with it to swallow all my pain
Then i realized that it was all in vain

I thought i saw you but you were gone
I saw some birds but there were none

But then again they did appear
And with confusion comes great fear

I followed them until they stopped
Above your grave then they dropped

I looked at you and you were there
As cold as ice but did not care

With all my strength my blouse I tear
And everything else that i wear

I cover you and at you I stare
That sight of you I could not bare

I have to tell you, you were pale
And my attempt to warm you was about to fail

I lifted you up and sat you down
And in my tears i then did drown

I looked at you, i called your name
Yet no reply, huh, what a shame

I took your hand and held it tight
And stayed there with you all through the night

I woke in the morning and looked for you
I looked for the birds, they were gone too

I reached for my bottle, it was at my side
It was in her only that i could confide

Then remembering you one more sip I tasted
It was only then that i recalled that i was drunk and wasted
