I will fly away some blessed memorial day!
I will fly away to heaven some wondrous day.
There is not much further delay.

My special homecoming guardian angel
will carry me home. Will carry me glory bound.
I plan on not being around much longer.

Besides the wings of my own special
escorting angel, I will fly.
I will fly right by his side.

This old sinful earth has kept me earth bound.
I am awaiting for the angelic trumpet sound.
I can hear the trumpet sound! The angelic trumpet sound!

I will walk through the heavenly pearly gates.
I will not be one minute late. I will be there
not one minute late. Praise the LORD!
